Camavinga came through the ranks at Rennes, having joined the club’s youth system at the age of 11. He stood out from a young age, signing his first professional deal with them at the age of 16.

Making him the youngest ever pro in Rennes’ history.

Camavinga then went on to break another record, becoming the youngest ever player to debut for the club.

He quickly stood out at Rennes, and it was clear he had a very bright future in football.

So Rennes attempted to keep him at the club with a new contract but Camavinga refused to sign, with his sights set on bigger clubs.

So in 2021, with only one year left on his contract, Real Madrid swooped in to buy the French midfielder for only £35m, a steal for a player of his young age and massive potential.

With already a Champions League title won in his short time at the club, Real Madrid have got a midfielder who could dominate his position for many years to come.
